Pressure Sensitive Vinyl (PSV)

Or otherwise known as self-adhesive vinyl is a flexible and versatile material that can be used to make eye-catching signs and logos for business or personal use. It is commonly used to create outdoor and indoor graphics for advertising, but can also be used to decorate walls, windows and other areas of an office or home.

Permanent vs Removable

There is permanent and removable options available.  The permanent is most commonly used for signs, car decals, mugs and cups.  The permanent primarily has a gloss finish (although white and black do come in a matte finish).  This is the most popular option for the home crafter.

Removable is most commonly used as a stencil for painting. This vinyl comes with a matte finish and this is the most noticeable difference between the two.

However, the main difference is the glue between permanent and removable.  The glue for the permanent is meant to hold up against the elements outside.  Whereas the removable does not.
